By design, the Hardwood Forestry Fund targets 80% or more of its budget directly into tree planting, forest management, and education and demonstration projects. By keeping administrative expenses low, the Fund is able to make a bigger impact on the ground for future forest establishment.

Professional Staff
The Hardwood Forestry Fund is staffed by one part-time employee who has a Bachelor of Science in Forestry. The Hardwood Plywood & Veneer Association provides extensive financial management and administrative help. The Volunteer Board of Directors receives no compensation and works closely with staff to direct donor contributions to high quality sustainable forestry projects. Long term “on-the-ground” project management is provided by natural resource professionals on staff of partnering organizations.
